What’s On in Teesdale” brings you all the news on events going on in and around the Teesdale area. In the summer season we are extending the coverage of this programme.  You can hear the show live on Mondays from 4pm to 5pm and Fridays 5pm to 6pm.  A whole selection of what's on interviews and features can also be heard on Saturdays at 1pm, Sunday at 10pm and Tuesday at 10pm.

The close connections the team has generated with the local community and the theatres and event organisers in the region have created a number of benefits. In November 2009 John Challis and Steve Luck from Sunderland Empire came to switch on the Barnard Castle Christmas Lights following an invitation from Radio Teesdale.

What’s On Presenter Annalisa Ward presents the show and coordinates the extensive range of activity during the week. She’s helped out by regular presenter Mick Brennan and Peter Dixon.

The show brings together What’s On related interviews featured in other programmes such as the Drive Time and Lunch Time shows. Interviews are re-edited for subsequent broadcast by Peter Martin and Peter Dixon.

We are most grateful for the support provided to this programme by numerous community organisations such as all those that organise the summer fairs in Teesdale, the Castle Players, The Teesdale Players, Barnard Castle Sports Centre as well as professional theatre venues such as Darlington Arts, The Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond and the Sunderland Empire.

If you are a community group or individual with something you would like mentioned on the What’s On programme then please ring, write, email or text the information to our team a the places listed on the contact page.
