There is also a whole range of activies that require constant attention and involvement. Do you have skills you can offer and the time to get involved? There are literally dozens of activities and roles within Radio Teesdale that are open to you. Here are a few examples.

Programme Presenter – presenting and producing programmes.

Music Manager – looking after the extensive music database. Great fun for anyone interested in a wide range of music.

Researcher – coming up with ideas and support material for programmes. An ideal role for someone who wants to get actively involved in programming, but does not want to go in front of the microphone.

Guest Coordinator – liaising with members of the community who are appearing on various radio programmes.
Training Coordinator – Organising training through external bodies and in-house induction training and mentoring.

News Team Member – be part of the reporting network of reports finding out information, news compilers, news researcher, local sports news coordinators, broadcast journalists or simply sending in material about your interests or other community group involvement.

Youth Volunteer Liaison Worker – working with the many young people who will be involved in creating youth led programmes.

ICT or Sound Technician – working with the technical side of our sound and computer equipment to make things easy for our presenters to operate.

Duty Manager – The key contact person on the day.

Member of the “Front of House” Office Team – supporting the current programme presenter, working on the office tasks and welcoming our visitors.

These are a few of the ways that you might be interested to join in. It is far from complete so if you can’t see anything there that immediately grabs your attention then do not worry. We would be delighted to talk to you about other areas of activity or any ideas you have for getting involved. We are also looking for people to become involved in our Operations Team.
