Radio Teesdale Listen Again Top 100 downloads for 2010
Radio Teesdale is delighted to publish the list of the most popular Radio Teesdale Listen Again podcast recordings for 2010

What have the top Irish group The Dubliners, The Bishop of Durham and Nancy from the West End show Oliver! got in common? They are the top 3 downloads on the Radio Teesdale Listen Again web site during 2010. Radio Teesdale is delighted to publish the list of the most popular Radio Teesdale Listen Again podcast recordings for 2010. Station Manager, Peter Dixon commented on the publication of the list of the most popular 100 downloads during the last year saying, "We have added over 600 recordings during 2010. They are permanently available for anyone with internet access to play again or download so there was stiff competition for the top spot. We feature lots of local interviews and features, but because of the reach of the internet the top downloads are the ones that have an international interest with the interviewee having fans from all parts of the world. It's great to think that people from all over the world are finding out the Teesdale from the work we do recording, editing and broadcasting these features."

The top three downloads all featured well know figures with Kerry Ellis currently appearing in Oliver in the West End (who was the number one download in 2009 with an earlier interview) at number three, the Bishop of Durham talking about his book "Lent for Everyone." The most popular recording was John Sheaham of the top Irish folk group, The Dubliners.

Popular local features included a recording of a debate with prospective MPs and pupils from Teesdale School, progress on the building of the TCR Hub, and development plans for the Witham Hall in Barnard Castle and other Barnard Castle Vision initiatives. As well as a variety of individual interviews with members of the community many Teesdale Community Groups feature on the list including The Castle Players, The Swaledale Festival, Highlights Rural Touring scheme, Teesdale Area Action Partnership and features relating to Radio TOPS (for Older People).

Stand up comedy also featured highly during the year with interviews with Lee Mack, Danny Bhoy, Jason Cook, Simon Donald and Sarah Millican all making the top 100.
