Why did you choose to do this type of show? Music is constantly changing and my show is all about the journey into what’s next which is a passion I’ve always had. The Undercurrent was the first show on Radio Teesdale to play bands like Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs, Frank Turner, Laura Marling and Maximo Park – in fact, we played these and many others before any mainstream radio show did.

What is your favourite song of all time? This Charming Man by The Smiths

If you could pick anyone, dead or alive, to have a drink with, who would it be and why? I’ve been lucky enough to meet some of my musical heroes but would have preferred longer with radio legend John Peel. His show was a constant in my years of growing up and expanding my musical boundries. John’s death still affects the music we hear even now and not in a good way!
