Presenters Michael and Val Fryer cover the Brass and Military Band music scene, both locally and nationally, to bring you news, results, interviews, competitions, reviews etc. - and, of course, a wide selection of music. Recent programmes have featured the Teesdale and Hardraw Music Competitions, the RAF's 90th Celebration concerts and Ian Lavender, local village bands and Chuck Daellenbach from Canadian Brass.

Programmes for 19th & 26th October will concentrate on Youth involvement in Banding.

2nd November - Will feature Paul and Jackie Beere (organisers) and the Brass in Concert competition at The Sage, Gateshead.

Plus a competition for tickets to the concert with Brighouse & Rastrick and Stavanger Bands at the Sage, Gateshead on 15th November at 7.30pm.

9th November  - Will have music from this year's contestants at Brass in Concert.

16th November - The results of the Brass in Concert Championship and our views straight from the Sage, plus music from the contestants.

23rd November - A competition to win tickets to the Christmas Massed Bands Concert at the Sage on Sunday, 21st December at 2pm.

30th November - Bands featured include new Scottish Champions, Scottish Co-op, Stavanger Brass Band from Norway and the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain.

7th December - We were snowed-in and, in the absence of a helicopter to get us there, had to settle for a re-broadcast of a programme from early in the year.

14th December - A selection of music, including Christmas music from local and national bands.

21st December - Christmas Special with music from a wide range of bands including the Salvation Army and Tudhoe Grange School.

28th December - A look back over some of the highlights of 2008 including the only interview given by Chuck Daellenbach, leader of Canadian Brass, on the group’s visit to Great Britain this year.

4th January 2009 - Sousa Special – a programme packed with Sousa marches to start the New Year on the right foot.
