News programme in Summer Schedule Radio Teesdale’s Summer Schedule starts on Monday the 19th July. The station continues to welcome new members ranging from those with no broadcasting experience to those with many years working in the field.
We are delighted to welcome another very experienced broadcaster to the airways. Paul Anderson has been working on TV and radio for 15 years working for various local, regional and national broadcasters (including the BBC, ITN and Sky) before settling into his new slot here on Radio Teesdale. Paul presents the all new “The News Programme,” every Tuesday and Friday, from 11am to 12pm. Paul Anderson said, “I’ve really enjoyed my career in broadcasting. I didn’t find his fame and fortune, but gained something even better. I learned to appreciate how much nicer it is up here. I’m very much looking forward to presenting a show featuring local and regional news on Radio Teesdale.”
Gina Hill takes over the Tuesday evening Drivetime slot from 5pm to 7pm. Michael and Val Fryer will be continuing to feature Brass and Military Band Music with Bandstand. The show will now alternate each with at 1pm on Sunday with their other programme, which makes a return to the airwaves, “Music for the Vintage Generation.”
Fundraising Radiothon 2010 We will be undertaking our second 24 Hour Live Radiothon. It's 24 live hours around the clock, 24 different presenters, 24 community guests and 24 sponsors. The 2010 Radiothon will run from noon on Friday the 1st October to noon on Saturday the 2nd October. Community Radio Stations in the North East The community radio stations in the North East of England have joined together to form a group to develop and foster a relationship between the individual organizations. The group is called CRaNE (Community Radio Stations in the North East). CRaNE members for mutual benefit through regular constructive communication and the exchange of information and experiences.
